Pesach Food

Passover food is carefully prepared to comply with strict dietary laws that commemorate the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt, most notably the avoidance of chametz (leavened grain products). During this time, foods must be specifically labelled Kosher for Passover (KfP), as even normally kosher items may not be suitable. Staples include matzah, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, and specially certified packaged goods, while traditional elements like maror (bitter herbs) and charoset are used during the Seder. With many modern alternatives available, it’s important to check ingredients and certifications carefully to ensure everything meets Passover requirements.
