Tu B'Shevat 12-13 February 2025
What is Tu Bishvat in a nutshell?
Tu Bishvat is a Jewish holiday also known as the “New Year for Trees”. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat, which typically falls in late January or early February. The holiday has agricultural origins and is a time for planting new trees, as well as for celebrating the beauty and importance of nature. In modern times, it has also become a day for promoting environmentalism and sustainability. During Tu Bishvat, it is customary to eat fruits and nuts that are associated with the land of Israel, particularly the seven species mentioned in the Bible: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives, and dates.
Every year The Kosher Hub releases a fresh new range of Tu B’Shevat home decor products.
